A tornado warning was issued for for Kentucky’s Clay and Jackson counties on Thursday evening.
The warning was in effect until 6:45 p.m., said the National Weather Service.
The agency said that a severe thunderstorm is moving through the state and is capable of producing a tornado.
The storm was located near Malcomb and was moving northeast at 25 miles per hour.
The agency advises residents to take cover immediately and find the interior room on the lowest floor of a building and it said to avoid windows.
