Karl-Anthony Towns had some fun during the rookie photo shoot in New York City over the weekend.
The No. 1 draft pick threw down an amazing between-the-legs reverse dunk at one point, wowing those watching him.
Towns stands at 6’11” but also has lots of athleticism, which should make him a force to be reckoned with on the court.
Towns, who spent one season at the University of Kentucky before entering the draft, is now part of the young core of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He joins last year’s No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, gifted point guard Ricky Rubio, fellow jammer Zach LaVine, the strong Shabazz Muhammad, and the shot-blocker Gorgui Dieng.
Wolves GM and coach Flip Saunders has praised Towns since picking him, even comparing his pre-draft workout to that of Kevin Garnett’s decades ago.
Towns, meanwhile, embraced his new team immediately.
“I can’t wait to come play,” Towns said right after being picked, reported Fox. “I know one thing: I can’t wait to say, ‘Go T-wolves’ for the first time.”
