Broadway star Ruthie Ann Miles was injured and her 4-year-old daughter was killed when a driver hit them while running through a red light in Brooklyn, New York, according to reports.
Miles, who was born Ruthie Ann Blumstein, and who is pregnant, is in the hospital now, according to WNBC.
A second woman was also injured in the crash, but her 1-year-old son died, according to the report. A fifth victim, a 46-year-old man, was also struck by the car.
The two children were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the car claimed to have suffered a seizure and said that she doesn’t remember the crash, the New York Daily News reported.
On Tuesday, Miles, who is pregnant, is believed to be in stable condition, Variety reported.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department told People magazine that the 44-year-old driver allegedly “failed to maintain control of the vehicle and struck the pedestrians.” After running a red light, the driver then went down the street and crashed into parked cars.
A GoFundMe page, which also stated that Miles is pregnant, raised tens of thousands of dollars for her family. “Ruthie is beloved by her many friends and colleagues in the Broadway and touring communities. She is always kind and always has a smile. It is our honor to help her in this difficult time,” the page says.

The GoFundMe page claimed that Miles is “injured and in critical condition.”
Miles earned a Tony Award for her role in the 2015 Broadway revival of “The King and I,” and she has also appeared in “Chess” at the Kennedy Center in Washington, according to Variety.
“It’s really, really sad what happened today,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said, reported CBS New York. “This loss of life is tragic and painful for all of us, particularly all of us who are parents.”
Miles had been reportedly walking from a church event with her daughter.
