Tom Brady was involved in a car accident early Thursday morning, but reportedly emerged from the wreckage unscathed.
Brady, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, said that he was unhurt in the accident and is reporting for practice as planned, according to the Associated Press.
The 33-year-old quarterback is expected to play in the season opener.
“I understand he’s fine, but I haven’t talked to him,” Brady’s father told AP.
The Patriots confirmed that Brady was in an accident and a team spokesperson said he had a walk-through practice on Thursday.
The passenger in the car had to be freed from the car and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
“I want to thank the safety personnel for their service, and express our concern and support for the well-being of the occupants of the other vehicle,” Brady’s agent Don Yee said via Twitter. “I don’t have any other information to share at this time.”
Hanna LeStrange, a bystander, told the Boston Globe that she saw the incident.
“It was just really high-impact, you could tell. The front of the Audi was off,” she told the Globe. “[Brady] was sort of bent over, looked completely shaken up. He got up and just started wiping his jeans.”
