Titanfall Beta for Xbox One, PC: New Beta Download, Release Date, Gameplay Details

February 3, 2014 Updated: July 18, 2015

The Titanfall beta–which doesn’t have an official release date yet but is upcoming for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360–will not require a pre-order.

Vince Zampella, founder of Respawn Entertainment, confirmed to a questioner on Twitter that the game will not require a pre-order, though he wouldn’t reveal more details regarding access to the beta or when it would start.

He did say earlier that the beta won’t be restricted like the alpha.

“Waiting for things to be approved before we can announce any more details. Should be soon…” he said.

Posters spotted in France indicate that the beta will start on February 14.

Meanwhile, Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe revealed, also via Twitter, that there are not more than 3 titans in the upcoming game.

While images and other information is being leaked by some of the closed test players, the textures have been reduced to 25 percent of what the resolution will actually be like, Respawn developer Rayme Vinson said via Twitter.
