Palm Beach Zoo Tiger

This isn’t the first tiger incident this month. In Florida, zookeeper Stacey Konwiser was attacked and killed by a tiger at Palm Beach Zoo on April 15.

She was  transported by helicopter to St. Mary’s Medical Center to treat a severe bite. Konwiser died less than 3 hours later.

The incident occurred during her daily tasks at the facility. It is not known what triggered the attack.

A fund has been launched to honor Konwiser. The Stacey Konwiser Tiger Conservation Fund at the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society will support tiger conservation in her memory, the facility said.
