Tiane Smith, a law student at Wayne State University in Detroit, was found dead on Wednesday afternoon.
Smith had been missing since Monday night, when she was last seen at the university’s library. She was found near the old Packard Plant in her SUV.
Someone shot her in the head, reported the Detroit Free Press.
Brown was in her third year of law school.
Brown’s family has been informed of her death, university president Roy Wilson said.
“Tiane’s death is a devastating loss to her family, including her three children, her fellow students, and the entire campus community,” Wilson said in a statement. “She was an exceptional and active student, and our sympathies extend to her parents, children, family and friends. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers.”
Two people have been arrested in the case, reported CBS.
Brown was reported missing by her parents after she didn’t pick up her three children at the parents home in West Bloomfield. Brown lived in Waterford.
