When we think of Rio de Janeiro, we think of three things: bright, sunny and warm! Interior design reflects the same sentiments.

In Rio, many homes embrace an open layout with wall-to-ceiling glass to let in gorgeous views and plenty of light. The furniture is fairly minimal with low-rise sofas and tables, often in soft neutral colors such as beige and white.

Bright colors can also be incorporated into the decor - particularly colors that are reminiscent of the sea. Blues and greens are great choices for bedspreads, pillows and other accents.

To mimic the style in your own home, choose furnishings and accessories that are minimal and natural. White vases, natural wood accent pieces and throw pillows in a mix of neutral and bold colors are all great ways to start.
