Kanye West likes to consider himself ahead of the curve—particularly with his fashion choices.
Apparently he didn’t get the memo that cell phones are a thing of the present and future—until five years ago.
Kanye West appeared on the final episode of “Kocktails With Khloe” where Khloe revealed West “just got a phone—he used to never have a phone.”
And what led to a change of heart for the Chicago rapper? Wife Kim Kardashian.
‘I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries,’ explained West. “I wasn’t up to anything, and I looked on the internet, and there was Kim Kardashian with some extremely tall person, and I was like, I need to call her or something.”
However, Kanye West was photographed in 2005 and 2009 with a cell phone.
Before West and Kardashian said ‘I do’ two years ago, the reality star was married to NBA player Kris Humphries for 72 days.
West continued on to say to the group including John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, that he reminded Kim Kardashian what married life would like with Humphries.
“I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, that now they wear their pants all the way up to here,” as he motioned with his hands above waist level. “This is your future!”
The couple now have two children together, two-year-old daughter, North West, and five-month-old son, Saint.
