Father Daughter Fiesta

The Father-Daughter Dance is back in Brea this year! This fiesta is for girls ages 3–18 years and their fathers or father figures to have fun family time with food and dance. Brea Community Center, 695 Madison Way, Brea. Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $20 per person. Dinner included. Taste of Japan

The cultural festival will showcase Japanese culinary creations, anime, cosplay, and live performances while allowing guests to experience Japanese pop culture through activities. 400 West Disney Way, Anaheim. Fountain Valley Summerfest

Fountain Valley is kicking off summer with a four-day festival featuring live bands, fun rides, fireworks, and dozens of food vendors. There will be at least twenty rides on-site including the Century Ferris Wheel, Vertigo, and more. Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, 16400 Brookhurst Street, Fountain Valley. Golden Years Vintage Market

The Golden Years Market will feature some of the best finds in vintage clothing, vinyl records, and accessories, with over 20 vendors on site. Discover Upper Newport Bay Kayak Tour

The Newport Bay Conservancy is hosting group kayak tours guided by certified volunteer naturalists in the ecological reserve of Upper Newport Bay. Each tour can take up to 20 people and is 2 hours long. Newport Aquatic Center, 1 Whitecliffs Drive, Newport Beach. Saturdays 10–12 p.m. Tickets start at $25. Movie on the Lawn

Irvine invites you to bring a blanket or low-back chair to enjoy the movie on an outdoor big screen with friends and family. The city is celebrating summer with a series of family-friendly outdoor screenings at Great Park. The first screening this coming Saturday will be showing “Luca.” Open seating on the Terraced Lawn will be first-come, first-served for the entire community, and food trucks are available for food purchase on-site. 8000 Great Park Boulevard, Irvine.
