The Walking Dead season 5 is currently being filmed, and there’s lots of rumors flying around about what will happen.

There’s entire dedicated websites and Facebook pages devoted to gathering intel from people who live nearby the sets in Georgia, publishing leaked photos and passing along information from these people.

One of these pages said a little while back that Glenn (Steven Yeun) ends up dead sometime during episode 2.

“RUMOR: we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday. It’s possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn,” the page said.

Seemingly adding credibility to the rumor, Alanna Masterson (Tara) tweeted at 1:28 p.m. “When someone great is gone.” Tara and Glenn grew very close during season 4 as they tried to find Maggie. “It’s said that Steven was hugging production members and shaking everyone’s hand while leaving,” the page added.

Now show creator Robert Kirkman has addressed the rumor after The Hollywood Reporter brought it up in an interview.

“I absolutely love it. It means people care and people are paying attention. So keep those rumors flying!” he said. Would he have outright denied it if it wasn’t true?

Kirkman also said that the next season will get intense, while answering a question about there being “major fatalities” early in the season due to there not being any for the last part of season 4.

“It’s always highly likely, though I wouldn’t say that it’s any more likely than it ever is, but it is always extremely likely. We did pull back on the reins a little bit at the end of season 4,” he said.

“We’re definitely going to hit the ground running for season 5 and we really don’t let up very quickly at all. It’s going to be a pretty fast-paced, intense season.”
