The Vampire Diaries season 6 will feature Damon Salvatore and Bonnie Bennett, who died in the season 5 finale, in a lot of scenes together.
Producers previously confirmed that both will be in the upcoming season but haven’t revealed the context, or, where they are.
“I would definitely say you'll see more interaction between them,” said Kat Graham (Bonnie) at Comic-Con, reported Zap2It.
The time jump was also revealed at the convention.
“It’s about four months, enough time to make big changes in their life and move forward,” executive producer Julie Plec said, reported TV Guide. “Some are better at it than others.”
The burgeoning romance between Stefan and Caroline was also addressed, with the emphasis that Elena isn’t interested in Stefan romantically because she’s still mourning Damon.
I hate to say there’s never any hope for anything,“ Plec said. ”Right now the love between Damon and Elena is so strong and the friendship between Stefan and Elena is so strong. Elena just had her second soul mate ripped from her arms so that’s going to take up quite a lot of the show for a while.”
She added when asked if Elena would find comfort in the arms of someone else (even other than Stefan):
“If she did that, that would mean her experience and her love for Damon wasn’t real,” Nina Dobrev said. “When we pick up in Season 6, she’s definitely not in a happy place but she has a very interesting, confusing, strange way with dealing with her grief.”
Plec also said that Alaric may get a new love interest.
