The end of Trophy Wife season 1 is nearing and people are wondering whether the ABC show will be renewed for a season 2.
Zap2It, using data such as viewing numbers, predicts at this time that the show is more likely to be canceled than renewed by May of this year.
The stations choose which shows to renew and which to cancel by the end of May.
The Trophy Wife was ordered for a full 22-episode first season, of which two episodes are left, after being given nine extra episodes in November.
The season finale is set for March 18. It will be the second of a two-part episode.
The March 4 episode hit a low in terms of viewers, and was blamed in part for the poor performance of “Mind Games.”
It’s been a tough time for ABC comedies, as The Super Fun Night is also likely to be canceled, as is The Neighbors. In addition, new sitcom Mixology got off to a start that indicates it might not be around for too long.
The Goldbergs and Suburgatory are at this time more likely to be renewed than canceled, while Last Man Standing, The Middle, and Modern Family continue strong runs and will almost certainly be renewed.
