The Repopulation, which underwent a successful Kickstarter campaign, has raised over $175,000 and is aiming to raise more ahead of the Alpha 3 stage that starts in March.
Soon after that the beta 1 stage will begin.
The MMORPG game takes place on a planet called Rhyldan, with the only known remaining human population fighting for their very existence.
The humans are fighting the indigenous life forms as well as each other.
“It is a sandbox oriented MMORPG with an eye on innovation,” according to the developer. “Rather than forcing players down preset paths they are instead allowed to walk the path which they enjoy the most. With a variety of combat oriented and non-combat activities to pursue, we believe we’ve created a game that can stand the test of time.”
Primary features include three factions which includes giving players the abilities to create rogue systems.
Missions include complex multi-stage missions as well as one time missions in random locations in the wilderness-and they’re not all combat oriented. Some include crafting, harvesting, and diplomacy.
There are no levels in the game--skills increase automatically through use.
