This video shows it’s always a great idea to check your mirrors and use your blinkers when trying to merge.

A motorcyclist with a helmet camera was passing slow traffic in the carpool lane when a Lexus SUV model of some type merged left.

The Lexus driver apparently didn’t see the motorcyclist, and he slammed into the Lexus, sending him to the ground.

The camera is then seen underneath the motorcycle’s tire.

One might argue that it was partially the motorcycle rider’s fault, as it appears that he was speeding amid slow traffic. The motorcyclist may have also had enough time to stop, as there was a full four seconds before the Lexus attempted to merge.

It’s unclear where the video footage was captured but it appears to somewhere in the Bay Area, California. The cars appear to have California license plates as well.

The clip was posted to crime and auto accident YouTube channel Raw Leak.
