The Last Ship continues on TNT on Sunday, July 6 with episode 3.

The episode, titled “Dead Reckoning,” is slated to start at 9 p.m. EDT.

“The James faces off against a new foe who demands Chandler hand over Rachel and her research,” the description says.

“When Chandler refuses, he and his crew are put to the test as Chandler engages in a series of risky strategic moves. But it turns out their new enemy has his own horse in the race to find a cure for the virus.”

Episode 4 will air next week on July 13. It’s titled “We’ll Get There.”

“Days after a trying series of events at Gitmo, Chandler and his crew are put under extreme duress when the ship’s propulsion system suffers a catastrophic event,” the description says.

“With Dr. Scott in danger of losing all her research on the virus and a crew overworked, overtired and desperately low on drinking water, Chandler’s leadership and ingenuity are put to the test.”

Season 1 is slated to run for 10 episodes.

The show has not yet been renewed for a season 2–but the show premiered to a tremendous 7.2 million viewers in the Live + 3 delivery, propelling it to basic cable’s #1 new series for year-to-date among total viewers.
