Director of “The Hobbit” trilogy released a new poster for the last installation of the epic adventure film on July 23, 2014 via his Facebook fan page.
“Anyone else excited about San Diego Comic Con?” Peter Jackson wrote.
“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” will come out in theaters on December 17, 2014. A preview trailer for the film will be screened at the San Diego Comic Con, an annual multigenre entertainment and comic convention which will be held between the dates of July 24 and 27, 2014.
According to the “TheOneRing.net” fan site, Jackson will be on hand at the Comic Con on Saturday July 26, to present the first, much anticipated trailer.
In an earlier Facebook post on July 3, 2014, Jackson wrote that he had completed the preview trailer and had sent it to Warner Bros., the distributor of the trilogy. The full length trailer for “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” will be released sometime in October.
This is the last film for the director in “The Hobbit” series.
Jackson, who will later be working on more Tin Tin films, might also direct a “Doctor Who” episode in the future, according to the Independent.
