Hair expert Harold Leighton weighed in on which hairstyles stood out the most at the 70th Annual Golden Globes. These are the ones that Leighton said were a cut above the rest. The words are his.

Jodi Foster sported her classic Sassoon bob, looking fresh and not a hair out of place.

Also, Taylor Swift, Helen Mirren, and Jessica Chastain all looked really beautiful and modern.

I am sure there were many haircuts being booked the following days.

In my day whenever there was a film premiere or after Oscar night, the good-looking hair caught on so quickly that salons were bursting at the door!

Remember the “Shag,” the “Farrah,” the “Poodle,” and the Sassoon bob?

My advice: Hollywood hairdressers should work on putting glamour back with false hairpieces, side combs, and slides instead of a kirby grip [bobby pin] with pretty hair bits and bobs that salons can sell to their clients.
