Natalie Portman Back in Action
Actress Natalie Portman has signed on as a cast member of upcoming “Thor,” a film adaptation of the legendary comic book. Portman, most famous for her role in the “Star Wars” prequels, will play Jane Foster, the love interest of the title character, played by Chris Hemsworth. “Thor” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 20, 2011.

Ryan Seacrest Secures New Contract
“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest signed a three-year deal with the show’s producer for a reported $45 million—marking a significant raise for Seacrest who previously received $5 million per season. The new contract is said to include a stipulation that Seacrest, who is also a producer, radio host, and anchor for the E! cable network, will perform in primetime TV exclusively for CKX—the parent company of “American Idol” producer, 19 Entertainment.
Molly Ringwald Gives Birth to Twins
Actress Molly Ringwald and her husband Panio Gianopoulos, welcomed a boy, Roman Stylianos; and a girl, Adele Georgiana; into their family on Friday. The couple also has a 5-year-old daughter, Mathilda Ereni. Ringwald, who starred in numerous teenage roles in the 1980s, can currently be seen on ABC Family’s, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”
