Bill Cosby Speaks Out at PA Rally

Comedian Bill Cosby joined Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell at an education rally last Wednesday in the state capital city of Harrisburg. Cosby, a Philadelphia native who holds a doctorate degree in education, targeted the state’s current debate over increasing public school funding.

Speaking in support of a spending increase, the comedian said, “Why would you want to take money from the success story and pull back on it so that they will start to enter prison?” He went on to explain the cost of educating someone is $5,000 a year and the cost of incarcerating someone is $33,000 a year.

A spokesperson for the State Senate Majority Leader told the Associated Press in response, “I have nothing but respect for Mr. Cosby, but our members are much more interested in what their constituents have to say than in what Mr. Cosby believes.”

The lawsuit stated, “Plaintiffs seek to stop the unauthorized and unlawful use of Dr. Oz’s and Ms. Winfrey’s names, pictures, voices, and identities.”

He never did. The upcoming episode is said to now include footage of the four remaining Jackson brothers grappling with their loss. Whether the series extends into the season is yet to be determined.
