The third wave of celebrity nude photos could hit the Internet this Saturday, according to several accounts that have been linking to the pictures as they’re published online.
“The Fappening” is a nickname given to the celebrity photos hack and subsequent leaks by Reddit and 4chan users. The original leak hit the Internet earlier this month, leaving dozens of images of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Justin Verlander, and others online.
“The Fappening 2” started on Friday with leaks of Hope Solo and Lake Bell and ramped up Saturday with hundreds of images and pictures being posted, including ones of Rihanna, Abigail Spencer, and Avril Lavigne.
The second round of leaks has died down but there’s indication that another dump could start on Friday or Saturday, with the most expected on Saturday.
“The Fappening 3 starts 9/27!” says one Paste Bin page, which is linking to pictures as they are published.
Reddit users are referring to the page as “the original paste bin.”
“The media and the world on women celebrities being exposed is pretty much the same notion, its disgusting and you should not be viewing the pictures. Well what if ‘The Fappening 3’ contained [breasts] and [penises]? What would the media and the world express about male celebrities being exposed? We shall see, I guess,” the page claims.
The report seems to fall in line with a report from TMZ that “a number of young, male Hollywood celebs” are “scared” that their photos and videos will leak next.
“We’re told the male celebs have contacted friends, former lovers and coworkers ... warning them they may be phishing targets ... the guys think most of the hacking involves people connected to the celebs but not the celebs themselves,” the report said.
The male stars are changing their passwords more frequently and some are now using phones that are not connected to the cloud.
Still, the report claims, “They all think it’s just a matter of time.”
Reddit users said they were on board with male photos and videos being leaked.
“Hey I’m for it. Not interested in seeing them, but hey turnabout is fair play,” said one.
