Authorities in Smith County in Texas have caught two suspects and are hunting for a third after a shooting incident on Tuesday left a K-9 dead.

The deputy, named Ogar, was shot near Farm-to-Market 849 at Interstate 20 West.

Police haven’t disclosed details about what led to the shooting.

However, Sheriff Larry Smith relayed to KLTV that no one pick up hitchhikers on I-20, especially between Highway 110 and FM 849, and along Hwy 110 from I-20 to FM 849.

The Grand Saline Police Department also said via Facebook that Michael Koch is the third suspect being sought.

He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt and jacket at I-20 and FM 849 at the Hideaway Lake area.

The department warned that Koch is “considered armed and dangerous,” and that anyone who sees him should call 911.
