Texas’ Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, who filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court against four battleground states over their “tainted” election results, told Fox News on Dec. 8 that he hopes the high court will decide to take up the case and consider it on its merits.

In the lawsuit (pdf), with the state of Texas as plaintiff, Paxton alleges that Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin introduced last-minute, unconstitutional changes to election laws, treated voters unequally, and triggered significant voting irregularities by relaxing ballot-integrity measures.
