Tess Huber, a University of North Florida student, died in a plane crash in Jacksonville.

Huber, 20, was a golfer at the university, and a chemistry major.

The university said in a statement that it “mourns the loss of sophomore Tess Huber.”

“Our thoughts & prayers go out to Tess’ family and friends,” it added.

Abigail Huber, 17, and Dr. Michael Huber, 60, were also killed in the crash.

Officials said the Cessna 310 crashed into a retention pond on Sunday, reported First Coast News.

David Denais recorded video of the plane in the water. You could see the fuselage or the engine sticking out of the water, then there was other parts of the aircraft that were out of the water,” he said.

The pilot called the tower saying they couldn’t see the runway, a spokesperson for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said. Craig Airport is about three miles away from the crash site.
