Cincinnati Bengals v Atlanta Falcons

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens will be playing for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, according to a statement on the team’s website.

Owens, 38, last played in the NFL in 2010 with Cincinnati but injured his knee in the offseason and failed to sign with a team for the 2011 season.

The league’s second all-time leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns has been named an All-Pro five times, but has made plenty of headlines with his mouth. Consequently Owens became a bit of a journeyman in his later years, playing for four different teams during his last six seasons.

The Allen (Texas) Wranglers start their season on February 25 against the Wichita Wild. Their 14-game schedule ends in June.
