Ali Marintzer and boyfriend Charlie Bator of Colorado took a prom photo that they'll remember for a lifetime.

The photo captured the two posing outside amid stormy skies, and a tornado can be seen in the background. They took the photo in Wray, Colorado.

The massive tornado was located about three miles away.

Marintzer’s mom took the photo, posting it on Facebook before it spread elsewhere.

She then shared a selfie.

On Saturday, about 12 tornadoes were reported across the state, The Denver Channel reported. According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, there was damaged reported in Wray---specifically on the city’s north edge, NBC reported.

Four structures suffered “significant” damage and five people suffered minor injuries. The twister also took down 40 electric poles. Wray is located about 10 miles from the Nebraska border. The largest tornado in the state followed along US 385 north of Wray.

An extreme close-up of the Wray tornado was captured and uploaded to YouTube.
