Teens Killed in Hubbard County Crash Identified

PARK RAPIDS, Minn. — Two teens killed in a crash on an icy highway in northern Minnesota have been identified.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 16-year-old Jacob Bruns of Laporte and 16-year-old Kiara Renollette of Bemidji died Wednesday evening when Bruns lost control of his car on Highway 71 in Hubbard County and was struck broadside by an oncoming pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup, from Park Rapids, was seriously injured.
