Teen Wolf has already been renewed for a season 5, which will premiere sometime next summer.

Season 5 will have 20 episodes, with 10 airing, then a break, then the final 10.

Dylan Sprayberry will become a season 5 regular, the most significant news to come out about the season as of yet.

A premiere date hasn’t been announced as of yet, but one can be guessed from previous premieres.

All four seasons of the show have premiered in June. The first three premiered in early June, including the only season to have 24 episodes as opposed to 12, while season 4 premiered on June 23.

Because of the supersized season, it’s likely that season 5 will premiere on June 8, 2015.

Meanwhile, no plot spoilers have emerged yet but Sprayberry told Hollywood Life that the season 4 finale will set up the next season.

“You can definitely expect a lot of action,” Dylan said of the finale.

“A great amount of action, and there will be more than one twist at the end that’s going to surprise people.”

And the Empty Lighthouse blog notes that based on the strong storylines in season 4, the next season will be very good.

“This season has been able to top the ante of last season. Teen Wolf has solidified itself as one of the top shows that MTV has ever brought their fans. Plot lines and twists drive this teen drama that features dynamic and intense action,” it said in a review of the episode before the finale.

“No one could see tonight’s twists coming but next season is sure to be another roller coaster ride for Teen Wolf fans.”
