Ted Cruz Will Appear With Mike Pence to Campaign for Trump
Cruz will appear with vice presidential nominee Mike Pence at an event in Michigan as well as a rally in Iowa, Pence confirmed on Twitter.
Cruz will make remarks at the two events before Pence, the governor of Indiana, takes the stage. Cruz will fly on Pence’s campaign plane between Iowa and Michigan, Pence spokesman Marc Lotter.
Until this week, Cruz has been mostly campaigning for down-ballot races in Colorado, Nevada, and Missouri.

Trump and Cruz went after one another during the Republican primary race, with Trump rebranding Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted.” At the Republican National Convention, Cruz called on voters to “vote your conscience” but stopped short of endorsing Trump. At the time, many believed it to be a snub of Trump following a contentious election.
In September, Cruz said he would endorse Trump. “After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” Cruz wrote on a Facebook at the time.
In October, Cruz was caught on camera making phone calls for his party in front of a wall with Trump/Pence signs.
