South Korean Chip Giant SK Hynix Unveils World’s Fastest, Highest Capacity Memory Chip

South Korean memory chipmaker SK Hynix Inc. has unveiled the industry’s highest-performing DRAM with a data speed capable of transmitting 163 full-HD movies in a single second. Experts describe this as the fastest and largest capacity memory chip to date.

SK Hynix announced on Oct. 20 that it had successfully developed the third-generation DRAM (Dynamic Random-Access Memory) memory with an 819 gigabyte (GB) data processing rate.
