Teacher fired over bikini photo: Olivia Sprauer, a high school English teacher in Florida, was asked to resign after school officials saw her modeling photos.
Sprauer had planned to resign at the end of the school year but the principal asked her to resign a month early. The principal showed her one of her modeling photos, confirmed it was her, then asked her to resign.
Sprauer is a graduate student and has a varied modeling portfolio, according to an online profile under another name but which appears to be her.
“There is an inherent satisfaction in discovering what art the photographer and I can create! I am very fun to work with, and my creative nature can add a lot to a shoot, as well,” she writes. “Oh! And did I mention I absolutely love being photographed?”
Sprauer told the Huffington Post that she doesn’t see anything wrong with her modeling photos, in which she is modeling bikinis.
“I don’t make pornography. I don’t open my legs on camera. I take swimsuit glamour style photography,” Sprauer said.
All in all, she said it would have been nice for her and her students to be able to finish out the year. “They trusted me and they made me happy so that aspect of it was sad,” she said.
