Singer, songwriter, and actress Taylor Swift will close out 2010 not just by turning 21 (her birthday is Dec. 13), but also by being crowned the youngest ever Entertainer of the Year by the publication Entertainment Weekly (EW).
The magazine mainly attributes Swift’s earning its top nod to the incredible success of her third record “Speak Now,” which was released in October. The album sold a whopping 1,047,000 units in its first week, which has been reported as being the highest seen in five years. Also joining Ms. Swift in the EW “Entertainers of the Year” edition is James Franco, John Hamm, and Katy Perry to name just a few.
