Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have ended their relationship, according to multiple sources.
“There was no drama. Things just don’t work out sometimes,” said an insider to People. “No one cheated.”
According to E! News, Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles is the one who decided to end the relationship last week.
“Adam really liked Taylor, she was not the type of girl he ever dates and he liked that. He liked how innocent Taylor was and that she had a good caring heart,” a source told the entertainment news site. “Taylor’s heart was more in it than he was. He started to lose interest over the past few months, but really tried to not just break up.”
The source also stated, “They were just not very compatible in different areas in their relationship. The touring and traveling didn’t help. It seemed like they were more friends than lovers.”
E! News is reporting that Swift was pretty upset about the breakup but wasn’t happy with the progression of their relationship.
“Taylor was really disappointed in Calvin and felt like he wasn’t there for her. The relationship wasn’t progressing the way she wanted it to. She felt like he wasn’t taking it seriously enough and wouldn’t come through for her when she needed him most. She felt down and like her needs weren’t being met. She doesn’t want to get back together.”
The 26-year-old songstress and the DJ were together for 15 months having just celebrated their one year anniversary back in March.
The former couple commemorated their relationship milestone with a beach getaway as documented on their Instagram pages.
In an April interview with Vogue, the “Bad Blood” singer gushed about her relationship with the 32-year-old producer.
“I’m just taking things as they come,” the singer said. “I’m in a magical relationship right now. And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key … this is the one thing that’s been mine about my personal life.”
Harris is currently on mend after a brief hospitalization following a car accident. The May 20 incident led to Harris cancelling a few show dates.
“Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations,” Harris wrote on Twitter. “I’m feeling lucky and very grateful [right now].”
