The IRS said Tuesday that tax-filing season has been delayed by two weeks, a report said.
The Wall Street Journal, which broke the story on Tuesday on Twitter, offered few details.
The IRS said that the some 12 million Americans who got an extension for their taxes was still Oct. 15 even amid the government shutdown.
Around 90 percent of agency’s staff was furloughed during the shutdown, which ended last week, reported NPR.
