Tampa: Multiple Schools on Lockdown, Including Ferrell Middle Magnet, After Shots Fired

Multiple schools are on lockdown in Tampa, Florida after shots were fired in the city on August 28.

After the shots were fired near 26th Street and East Chelsea Street, the following schools went under lockdown:

-Ferrell Middle Magnet School

-Middleton High School

-Lomax Elementary School

-Potter Elementary School

-Lockhart Elementary School

-Young Middle School

No students will be released from the schools during the lockdown, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Residents are being urged to stay indoors while the search for the armed suspect is going on.
