The Taiwanese Table: Cuisine and Identity

The Greene Space will be hosting a What’s Cooking Now panel led by Cathy Erway, author of “The Food of Taiwan.” Speakers include James Beard Award-winning sommelier Belinda Chang, Mira Sushi & Izikaya executive chef Brian Tsao, Taiwanese-Mexican eatery Lucky Luna co-owner and chef Ken Ho, and the New York Times “The Frugal Traveler” columnist and former editor of BonAppetit.com Matt Cross.

March 24, 7 p.m., The Greene Space, 44 Charlton St., Taiwanese Table Cuisine and Identity. Tickets $25.

Taiwanese Pub Dinner With Cathy Erway

Celebrate the delicious cuisine of Taiwan with an intimate family-style meal prepared by blogger Cathy Erway of No Eating Out In NY and author of “The Food of Taiwan.” The menu will feature specialty cocktails with Taiwan Beer and Kavalan Whisk, steamed clams, Taiwan-style wings, popcorn fried king oyster mushrooms, Taiwanese hamburger with pork belly, and pineapple cake à la mode.
