A woman who’s accused of deliberately hitting a man with her car in Sydney’s inner west has been charged with murder.

Emergency services treated a 31-year-old man who was hit by a Toyota Kluger and pinned against a brick wall on Hill Road in Wentworth Point about 8.30pm on June 27 but he died shortly afterwards.

Police arrested the driver of the Toyota, a 44-year-old woman, and she was taken to Concord Hospital under police guard for mandatory testing. She was later taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with murder.

Police allege the man and woman – who were known to each other – were involved in a verbal altercation, before the woman got in the vehicle and deliberately struck the man.

The Quakers Hill woman was refused bail and is expected to appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
