Suze Orman, financial adviser and television personality, will be hosting her own show, Money Class on Oprah Winfrey’s new television network, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).

The show is set to premiere in fall 2011, OWN announced on Thursday, less than a week after the network debuted on New Year’s Day.

On Money Class, Orman will provide financial advice to families and individuals who are experiencing economic difficulties. Orman plans to help them set “attainable goals” and meet “specific challenges to impart the ability to make responsible and well-informed decisions. The end goal is for the participants to let go of the past and move toward a more secure financial future,” the network stated.

The two-time Emmy Award-winning television host is currently a featured expert on Ask Oprah’s All Stars and was a guest judge on Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star, both broadcast on Oprah’s new network.

“Suze Orman is the rock star of personal finance, and her straight-forward advice will help people that are in need of a financial wake-up call,” said Lisa Erspamer, chief creative officer of OWN.
