The upcoming season of reality competition show, “Survivor” will return for its 29th season in the fall. Based on the projected premiere date of the previous shows that typically air on the third Wednesday in September, the upcoming season will premiere on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

In “Survivor: San Juan Del Sur—Blood vs. Water” 10 couples will compete against their loved ones and other couples, while trying to build a new society on the Nicaraguan coast, in San Juan del Sur.

The premise of the game is to survive the 39 days on the island without elimination and claim the $1 million prize, however only one person will walk away with the cash.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, host of the show Jeff Probst said that unlike the last seasons, “Nicaragua” and “Redemption Island,” the upcoming season will have a lot more water challenges.

“The one thing I kept asking our scouting crew for was updates on how the water situation was looking, and between our art department and our challenge department, they’ve got it under control... That’s the only concern we had about Nicaragua, is that it was a little dry last time,” Probst told EW.
