Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli has used the Twitter platform to voice concerns against the extreme “pin thin” trend seen among young aspiring runway models.

With the start of New York Fashion Week just around the corner, Refaeli tweeted on Aug. 30, “I get so sad when I see 15-year-old pale extremely skinny models at the agency looking all shaky and hungry ... when will it end?!?!?”

It is said these young ladies starve themselves in hopes of landing a runway spots with top designers. While efforts have begun by the fashion industry and some governments to implement tougher restrictions, seems this point may still in fact be an issue.
