Super Smash Bros. 4, on its way to Nintendo 3DS and Wii U later this year, has been slowly revealed by game director Masahiro Sakurai and others involved with the production.
Sakurai regularly shares screenshots of the game and outlines what players can expect.
He recently shared a picture that shows the “all-time classic Balloon Fight” which will now be playable with four players.
“This is only a small piece of this jam-packed game,” he said.
Another recent image shows Link in an outfit based on his ordinary clothes in Skyward Sword.
“The art style looks a little different, but the actual clothing model is still his usual tunic,” Sakurai explained.
Another image shows Rosalina next to the Fairy Queen on the Pac-Land stage.
“Is this a match made in heaven? Remember, no matter how big you may be, there is always someone bigger,” Sakurai said.
Sakurai also recently shared photos of Donkey Kong and Pac-Man.
One shows Donkey Kong’s third standard special attack, Storm Punch!!
“Thanks to the customization options, each fighter is stocked with 12 different special moves. The number of attacks is pretty appalling,” Sakurai said.
The Pac-Man picture shows his standard special move, Bonus Fruit.
“As you charge this move, the bonuses will change, and all of them have different characteristics and movement patterns when thrown,” Sakurai said. “The bonuses cycle in the same order as in the original game, and the charge-up period doubles once you cycle beyond the orange.”
The game will come out for 3Ds in the fall and Wii U in the winter.
