Multiple new stages will be introduced in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. 4, including the Mushroom Kingdom.

Game director Masashiro Sakurai shared screenshots of the stage in one of his daily updates this week.

“Here’s a new Wii U stage, Mushroom Kingdom U! It brings to life the worlds of New Super Mario Bros. U,” he said.

“When Kamek casts a spell, the stage transforms drastically! That said, this is not what you would call a moving stage…” he added.

“…By the way, this stage will be playable in the demo version of the game for E3, a game expo that starts on June 10 in Los Angeles.”

Sakurai also recently shared a first-look at the bottom-screen display for the Nintendo 3DS version.

“Your name will appear in the area above the accumulated damage. And if you tap one of the fighter displays You can highlight that fighter on your screen,” he said.

“This is useful when you want to get back at a particular opponent. You can also highlight yourself if you need to keep better track of where you are. This is a great benefit to having your own individual screen.”

Super Smash Bros 4 will be released for the 3DS this summer and for the Wii U this winter.
