Meta Knight may have been confirmed as a character for the upcoming Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Game director Masashiro Sakurai shared a screenshot of the Wii Fighters, new characters officially confirmed for the game, wearing helmets.
“‘Hello! I’m Samus, the intergalactic bounty hunter!’ he said.
“‘And I am Meta Knight, joining the battle!!’”
Users said that Sakurai may be hinting at Meta Knight’s return, with others calling Sakurai a “master troll.”
There are at least several more characters in the game that haven’t been officially added to the characters list.
Sakurai also recently shared another screenshot.
“If you manage to raise this Special Flag for long enough, an additional KO count will be added to your score in a time match, or you'll get an extra stock for a stock match,” he said.
“When this appears on the stage, the fight for the flag becomes a fierce battle of tactics, which makes things pretty interesting.”
