‘Super Drunk’ principal: A elementary school principal who was charged under the “Super Drunk” law in a Michigan town slipped out of his handcuffs when he was arrested, reported ABC News, which obtained video footage of the incident.

Kim Warren, who was arrested earlier this month, is the principal of Deerfield Elementary School in Novi, Mich. He was detained after witnesses saw her swerving in his vehicle.

She was arraigned in court on Monday and received the “Super Drunk” charges, reported The Oakland Press. Police said they found open alcohol containers in her vehicle.

Warren was videotaped taking off the handcuffs before handing them over to an officer.

“You can hang on to them. … Just don’t throw them out the window or anything,” the officer said, according to the station.

She was arrested with a blood alcohol content of 0.21, far higher than the legal limit.

She is currently using her sick days to stay on paid leave, Novi schools Superintendent Steve M. Matthews told the Novi Patch.

“The board [of education] will be asked to make a decision if she does not resign,” he said.
