Several people were injured following an explosion in Sunnyvale, Calif., on Thursday afternoon.
According to NBC, the blast was from an unknown source. “An initial alert said there were multiple injuries, but NBC Bay Area has not confirmed it yet,” it says.
The San Jose Mercury News reported that the explosion took place at a business. A police news release says that “hazardous materials are used as part of the manufacturing at this business,” and it added that it was isolated to a single facility. “This appears to be an industrial incident and is not being treated as a criminal event,” says the release.
