SANTA MONICA, Calif.—Santa Monica police stepped up their presence at local schools Dec. 6 following an alleged social media threat targeting Santa Monica High School by a student who district officials say made a threatening post on Snapchat.
“The student has been removed from campus and the appropriate discipline measures have been taken,” Santa Monica High School Principal Dr. Antonio Shelton said statement cited by Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Ben Drati in a letter to parents, guardians and staff on Monday morning.
