From the days of the “Rachel haircut,” we knew Jennifer Aniston would be a trendsetter. Her Oscars style this year was vibrant with her red Valentino dress and Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. Her engagement ring also got some attention, with fiancé Justin Theroux on her arm dressed in a Ferragamo suit.
It was a marked change from the slim, glimmering, pale Valentino she wore in 2009, and her black, simple, flowing tank-strapped dress of 2006.
Halle Berry was much-lauded in fashion media in 2002 when she appeared in her Elie Saab gown, which launched the Lebanese designer to fame. She wore a classy black and silver Versace to the 2013 Oscars. From short to long hair, from ivory to black, Berry’s timeless beauty remains no matter her garb.
Kristen Stewart’s smoldering, dusky look at the 2010 Oscars, then known as the Academy Awards, was replaced by a light, feathery summer look this year.
