Stephon Prather has been identified as the suspect in the shooting of Howard County police officer Steven Houk on Wednesday.
Authorities are offering $50,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of Prather, 29.
Prather allegedly is the man who was confronted by several officers off Route 1 in Laurel and shot one of them, Houk, who was airlifted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Prather is described as standing 6’2″ and weighing 280 pounds, reported NBC.
Law enforcement officers have commenced a manhunt, searching for Prather.
