The latest Star Wars Episode VII rumors indicate that Luke Skywalker becomes the most powerful Jedi ever.

The continuation of the popular franchise will be featuring Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo--but with many years having passed since the original third film.

Making Star Wars says that sources revealed that Skywalker is in a unique situation because he’s become “the most powerful Jedi ever.”

However, he doesn’t believe he’s the wisest Jedi, and takes what happened with his father as a lesson. Luke goes into hiding.

“Skywalker becomes somewhat deranged in his seclusion. He is consumed by his fear that if he should return to ’society' his power could be misused, he could be manipulated, and he may accidentally hurt the one’s he loves,” the blog said.

“For these reasons, to protect the galaxy and himself, Luke retreats into self-imposed exile for many years. I’m told he can’t always control the power. While he sits in a meditative state, he levitates things unconsciously and he’s not always in complete control and he’s never sure if he’s doing the will of the Force or acting on his own passions. Luke is seeing the past, the present, the future, ‘old friends long gone’ and other things that prey upon his sanity.”

Some of the rumors about Skywalker have indicated that he'll be evil but it appears that he’s more partially insane then truly evil.

But Skywalker is forced to come out of his exile to intervene in the new conflict in Episode VII, and whether he’s good or evil will be revealed by the last act of the film.

“My personal belief is that by the end of the film, Luke Skywalker returns looking like his old self again. It appears his character’s trajectory is one in which he has to atone for his absence with his place and power in the galaxy,” the blog said.

“By the end of the film, he apparently does, and our new heroes have a mentor to take on the old evil that has infected the galaxy during Skywalker’s absence.”

Meanwhile, the upcoming Episode VII was recently announced to be titled “The Force Awakens.

Disney also said that principal photography has wrapped up on the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel six months after it began.

The shoot was one of the most closely followed productions in recent memory, with constant rumors emanating from the tightly guarded set.

Shooting shut down for several weeks in July after Harrison Ford broke his leg during filming at the Pinewood Studios outside London. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in December 2015, with Episode VIII expected in December 2017.

Actors include Mark Hamill (Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Solo), and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), as well as a number of actors whose roles haven’t been completely clarified--including Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong'o, Adam Driver, John Boyega, and Daisy Ridley.
