The actors who played Emperor Palpatine, Lando Calrissian, and C-3PO are expected to be involved with Star Wars Episode VII.

News about Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill--the original Star Wars stars--being involved in the film was already known, but a source told Market Saw that the actors who played Palpatine, Calrissian, and C-3PO will also be involved.

-Ian McDiarmid (Played Emperor Palpatine in the original films)
-Billy Dee Williams (Played Lando Calrissian in the original films)
-Anthony Daniels (Played C-3PO in the original films)
-Warwick Davies (Played Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi)

The source also said that Benedict Cumberbatch and Gary Oldman were pursued for the same role in Star Wars Episode VII, but that due to script re-writes they will probably both be involved with the film.

The blog also reported that the story is ultimately about twins, “which will take a path towards darkness and which will follow in their fathers footsteps, or at least that is what it used to be, that may come later as I think changes are being undertaken to bring the original cast into the forefront of the story leading to ramifications that lead up to the next generation of Skywalkers.”

Episode 7 is slated to open on December 18, 2015.
